ABSTRACT

The widely held interpretation of the Coronavirus pandemic as a 'crisis' prompts us to reflect on this term and its pedagogical translations. In our paper, we discuss the role that the concept of crisis in its various modifications plays for modernity and especially for theories of education. Drawing on these reflections, we ask how the Coronavirus pandemic is qualified as a crisis in and of education as well as how pedagogy is thereby constructed and addressed.
